Facts about Nanotechnology and product sheets

Nano liquids

Nanofluids have been considered to be useful as advanced heat transfer fluids for almost two decades, as they have better suspension stability compared to micron solids, can flow smoothly without clogging the system and provide improved thermal and physical properties.

HTF Compact reduces the flow temperature in heat exchangers, whether they are water-to-water, water-to-air or refrigerant-to-water. Through a more efficient heat transfer, energy consumers (eg boiler, heat pump or cooling unit) run more efficiently and need to walk less to reach the desired temperature settings.

Our nanofluid has proven to be stable when circulated in closed systems and works well in black water found in our radiator systems or in various glycol mixtures in cooling systems and requires no extra effort to be installed and it can be installed without shutting down the system.

The nanoparticles in HTF Compact do not cause electrolysis, as they are oxides.

HTF Compact does not cause erosion or corrosion in pipe systems or equipment.

The main active component of HTF Compact is inert and non-carcinogenic.

HTF Compact concentration of 5% in the final system requires no change in installation, provides high flexibility to reach desired setpoints and is easy to install during operation. Through a simple water test and our questionnaire, you get a quick answer to what an installation of HTF Compact can provide for energy savings and what it costs.

With the help of our partners, we can also offer energy mapping, cleaning of existing systems, energy optimization of systems after installation of HTF Compact. All energy efficiency reduces climate impact, no matter what energy you use. The calculation gives 950 g CO2 / kWh when reducing electricity use today. This means that a reduction of up to 30% in electricity consumption results in a significant reduction in CO2 through a simple installation of Nano liquids in heating and cooling systems.

Briefly about Nanotechnology.

Quote from SAAMS is Sweden's umbrella organization for nanotechnology players and was formed in 2010

In 2023, we have a society where nano-technology is integrated into products for a better, lighter, stronger and safer everyday life.

Sweden has a leading role in Europe in terms of research, innovation, companies, infrastructure and exports. We have been instrumental in developing good regulations and safe handling of nano-science, nanotechnology and nanomaterials.

Through "Safety by Design", nanomaterials are evaluated for each area of use so that safe use is built into products and services already at the design stage.

The term "Nano Inside" functions as a quality label that signals safe and responsible handling of nanotechnology.

What is nanotechnology?

Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary research area in subjects such as materials science, mechanics, electronics, biology and medicine.

The technology is about exploring and using atoms and molecules to design new materials, components or systems with improved or new properties.

Nanotechnology is called atomic handicraft because scientists build things that are sometimes only a few atoms in size (one atom is about 0.2 nanometers in diameter).

A nanometer is one millionth of a millimeter, or one billionth of a meter. In comparison, the diameter of a hair is about 50,000 nanometers. To illustrate the size of a nanoparticle, one can imagine a football and the globe.

The size of a nanoparticle is related to the size of a football, just as the size of a football is related to that of the earth.

Nanoparticles are usually defined as a particle with a size between 1-100 nanometers. In addition to man-made nanoparticles, there are also a number of naturally occurring nanoparticles.

Instruction for our questionnaire.

The purpose of this short questionnaire is to assess the profitability of a potential application of the HTF Compact® nan liquid - nanotechnology for improving heat exchange - at your plant (eg heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling, heating) and to estimate the potential energy the savings.

All facilities have their challenges and depending on which business your heating or cooling system should support, we need to know what type of business you conduct where you intend to install HTF Compact® and where.

We use this form to quickly get an idea of whether it is worth installing HTF Compact to achieve at least a 15% energy saving or a payoff of at most 3 years on the investment. The questionnaire does not provide exact facts, but it does give a quick idea of whether it is worth moving on.

When it comes to input data from Geographical location, we can read temperature data from different sources to calculate outdoor temperatures and trends and it is well documented around Europe.
